Dear Family and Friends,
As you all know by now, every year I raise funds for the Gutsy walk, now more than ever!
I was diagnosed in 1989 and have had numerous surgeries and hospitalizations, and until today am still struggling to get some what of my life back.
My son Julian was diagnosed just before his 11th birthday in 2015. Since then we have still not been able to regulate his medication, he has tried multiple meds, and since this year he has been on a combination of methotrexate (oral once a week), and remicade infusions, which have had to have been altered from every 8 weeks, to every 6 weeks and we are now waiting to see if that's a good combination.
He's missed a lot of school, gets sick and tired easily. He is not the same boy he used to be, and it's not easy having 2 people in one family struggling with the same illness, an illness that can be so debilitating at times.
Please help us find a cure for this disease that has been affecting more and more children and adults.
Thanking you in advance!
