As most of you know, I have lived with Crohn's disease for almost 7 years now. We got along ok in the beginning but the past year my colon was quite nasty. I had 4 hospital admissions in 2018 related to my disease flaring. I failed 5 biologic medical treatments and spent far too much time dependent on steroids (I hate prednisone). On January 8, 2019 I got my colon REMOVED. This was scary. This also provided me with the opportunity to gain back my quality of life.
I now have an ileostomy, this is permanent. I will have a stoma and poop in a bag for the rest of my life.
Crohn's disease has completed altered my norm, and controls a lot of aspects of my life. But I really do believe it has made me a stronger, wiser and better person.
I want to raise money to find a cure for this invisible illness, and I want to raise awareness!!!
If you can donate $5 instead of buying a coffee today I would be so grateful. If you can't, please share this page.
And if you want to join me on June 2 at the Gutsy Walk please message me!!
