hour of every day, one Canadian is newly diagnosed with Crohn’s disease or
diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) at age 2, over the years she
has grown into a brave, determined, and incredibly strong 11 year old.
This disease impacts every moment of her life and our life as a family – there
have been many hospital stays, many surgeries, years without eating (fed only
by tube),& ongoing chemotherapy drugs that help to keep her stable.
Alberta Children’s Hospital has become our second home, spending countless
holidays, including Christmas there, seeing numerous clinics, we are often
there every week.
